The Havana Suite Album Launched

Cuban guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cardenas released his latest album - The Havana Suite, with a live performance on 17th May at London s Soho restaurant/bar/club -Floridita. The album is the result of his collaboration and work with Trio Mestizo and is a homage to Havana and its famous decaying beauty.

This collection of beautiful works by Cuban composer Eduardo Martin, features the combined talents of Ahmed s sublime guitar playing, together with the percussion and musical co-production of Hammadi Rencurrel, and Emma Blanco on violin.

An innovative production, the album exploits the interaction between contemporary Cuban guitar sonorities and well-known Cuban musical genres such as Rumba, Danzon, Cha-cha-cha, Changui, Bolero, and Timba, amongst others

Ashley Stewart's Art Sponsorship for 2011

Ahmed Dickinson has been recently awarded the Ashley Stewart's Art Sponsorship for 2011. 

The UK and US based company will support several of Dickinson's musical projects over the current year.
